1833, Benjamin BOHIN created a workshop for wooden objects, trinkets and toys right beside his house.
 
1866. The Bohin factory was built in Normandy, on the edge of the river Risle, With a surface area of 107,000 square feet, it is on the French National Registry of Historic Places.
 
1868 he decided to gather together several small workshops belonging to needle and pin craftsmen on the banks of the Risle river, which he then set about modernizing. The river provided the power while tin, brass and steel wire were the raw materials they used. After the second world war, the company again diversified their products range by introducing a line of metal items.

1952 BOHIN is thus the only sewing needle manufacturer in France with over 65 types of needles manufactured, some 70 tons of metal used every month, a production of half a million objects...
 
1985 BOHIN invested in an automated nickel-plating installation, in anticipation of stricter environmental norms.

1997 BOHIN became BOHIN FRANCE for its SEWING NOTIONS and STATIONARY activities.

2000 Bohin products become available in the US

2003, BOHIN FRANCE has a turnover of more than 4 000 000 Euros and has a staff of 49. We extended our distribution to 4 continents Europe, Africa, Océania, North America.

BOHIN FRANCE has been officially rewarded for its efforts in environmental protection because of "zero rejection" in its surface treatment process.
